Three new Journalist Fellows from two continents join the Reuters Institute

Our new colleagues will spend the next three months exploring the future of journalism, alongside those continuing from last term

Three journalists with a range of backgrounds are joining our Fellowship Programme for the next three months to spend time away from their day jobs by exploring some of the pressing issues facing the news media, and to delve into a project of relevance to them and their careers. They will join twelve Journalist Fellows who are continuing from last term.

Elisabeth Gamperl

Managing Editor, Digital Storytelling Unit, Süddeutsche Zeitung in Germany
Austria/Germany

Elisabeth is the managing editor of Süddeutsche Zeitung's digital storytelling unit in Munich. Her interdisciplinary team of journalists, designers and coders collaborates with reporters on the digital execution of their stories and develops creative storytelling pieces. Elisabeth was a member of the "Paradise Papers" research team and the "Panama Papers" digital team.

Jakub Krupa

Senior Correspondent, MLex news agency
UK/Poland

Jakub is a senior correspondent covering data privacy and security, cybersecurity, and telecom regulation as well as Brexit and online harms for MLex news agency in London. Based in the UK since 2012, he previously worked as the UK Correspondent for the Polish Press Agency, leading the coverage on Brexit, UK politics and relations with the EU. Jakub is also a board member at POSK Polish Centre, the largest Polish community centre in the UK.

Zoe Ramushu

Filmmaker and multimedia journalist
Zimbabwe/South Africa

Zoe Ramushu is a producer, filmmaker and multimedia journalist. She holds an undergraduate honors degree in Law and English and an MA both from the University of the Witwatersrand. Before becoming a filmmaker and multimedia journalist, Zoe Ramushu studied and worked in the legal field. She earned her MSc in filmmaking from Columbia University in the City of New York.
