RISJ Director of Research at ICA Conference

RISJ Director of Research Rasmus Kleis Nielsen presented two conference papers on journalism and democracy and on local journalism at the 2015 International Communication Association annual conference in San Juan, Puerto Rico.In addition, Dr. Nielsen spoke on a panel dealing with the relationship between scholars and news media, and served as a respondent on several panels dealing with, amongst other things, global news coverage of the Snowden NSA-revelations and of UN climate change summits. The ICA is the biggest international academic association for scholars interested in the study, teaching and application of media and communication and the 2015 annual conference drew more than two thousand presenters from all over the world.
