Macbeth by Candlelight

Journalist Fellow Mozart Pastrano (Michaelmas term, 2018-19) writes about the re-emergence of theatre and the arts, in the Philippines in particular, as a space to explore political and social issues. In this essay, he draws on his time living in Oxford while a Journalist Fellow, conversations with his other journalist fellows, academics and journalists, and visits to the theatre, including a special candlelit performance of Macbeth.
