Zichao Liu
Chief Writer, Southern People Weekly
Zichao Liu is a writer and former investigative journalist for the Southern Metropolitan weekly and Southern People Weekly, news magazines owned by the Southern Media Group in China. He won the Public Writing Award presented for journalism excellence by Southern People Weekly in 2010/2011/2013, and received a feature-writing award from Tencent in 2009. These are two of the most important independent journalism awards in China. In 2012, he was appointed editorial director of Across, which is a new brand of Southern Media Group. His latest book, A Central European Odyssey was published in September 2015, by China Citic Press.
