Yvette Sierra Praeli
Yvette Sierra Praeli is a Peruvian journalist specialized in print and online journalism. She has worked as a reporter, for more than a decade, writing on issues such as current affairs, Human Rights, environment, natural disasters, pollution caused by the mining industry, immigration, health, sustainable development and ecotourism.She holds a degree in Mass Communication from San Marcos National University, in Lima, Peru. She had also participated in prestigious programs such as Tweedale Memorial Fellowship offering by International Center for Journalists in the United States of America, and Goethe Fellowship Program for Latin American Journalists organized by International Affairs of German Government. Additionally, she had the opportunity to spend the Summer Semester 2002 at University of Cologne, in Germany. Yvette began her journalism career as a freelancer at Arkinka magazine, and later worked for Correo newspaper, Peru.21 newspaper, and Viajeros, Conservation and Cultures online magazine, in Peru. Moreover, she has written for La Voz de Arizona weekly, in Phoenix, USA, and for La Nación newspaper, in Costa Rica. She loves photography, and she has a photo documentary archive as a result of her journeys. She is also interested on documentary films and multimedia projects.
