Mohamed El-Sayed

Having received his BA in English Literature from the Faculty of Languages, Ain Shams University in Cairo, Mr El-Sayed joined Al-Ahram Weekly, Egypt’s leading English-speaking newspaper, in August 2001 as a reporter. For over eight years now he has been covering domestic politics as well as social and religious issues in Egypt. His scope of coverage also included human rights, education, and media issues. Some of his articles were translated into other languages and republished in international newspapers like the Paris-based Le Courier International.
