Mirjami Saarinen has worked at Finnish Business Daily Kauppalehti since 1995. She has been a reporter, an EU-correspondent in Brussels (2001-2004) and, for the last six years, a news editor responsible for both printed newspaper and online news.
Her twenty year career spans the whole digital history of newspapers starting from a niche area to nowadays being the major news source for readers. Of all the things that have happened in business and journalism this has been the most fascinating.
Before joining Kauppalehti Mirjami worked at regional newspapers Turun Sanomat and Savon Sanomat.
Mirjami is a graduate of the University of Tampere majoring in Journalism and Mass Communication.
