Michelle Henery
For almost a decade Michelle has worked as a journalist in some of the leading news organisations in Europe, seeking to understand the politics of race, gender and representation in the media.After receiving a BA from Georgetown University, she trained for a year at Reuters in Paris as a technical writer. In 2002, completed a Masters in Journalism at Goldsmith's College, University of London.
Upon completing the MA, she became a reporter and later an editor at The Times, writing for the news, business and features pages. She also wrote editorials on issues ranging from race and class to American and British political and cultural differences.
In the autumn of 2008, she joined Al Jazeera English as a producer/reporter. Before leaving to undertake her Oxford fellowship, she covered a range of topics from the US elections and global economic downturn to migrant communities in America.
