Jon Kåre Time

Jon Kåre Time is a journalist in the Norwegian newspaper Morgenbladet since 2006, where he started out as a culture journalist and Book Review Editor, but has for more than a decade worked in the department for news and current affairs, primarily focusing on long-form science and ideas journalism.

From 2020 and throughout 2022, Jon Kåre worked almost exclusively on covering the COVID-19 pandemic, with extra interest in scientific uncertainty, the interface between science and politics, and global vaccine equity.

His project explores how journalists choose their expert sources, inspired by studies of expertise in the social sciences, with the goal of coming up with a set of recommendations for what journalists should be aware of and look for when navigating the landscape of experts.
