Holly Hong

I have been a teacher at the International Communications College since 1989, and in 2005, I became an associate professor. My students have found challenging jobs in various media sectors, including some key positions in the English Channel of CCTV (China Central Television) and Phonics TV Station in Hong Kong.A few of them are using their talents in stations here in Beijing that correspond to the BBC and Reuters. I am very proud of them, in spite of the fact that I myself have no full experience in media practice. However, I have acted as consultant on the making of several programmes such as Radio Beijing English Programming, Global Views at Channel 4 of CCTV, and also some new media outlets like Borui News Group, which is based in Chengdu, Sichuan province. I am currently researching my doctoral dissertation in Communication Theory.
