Hiroyuki Takahashi is a staff writer for Jiji Press, a Japanese news agency.
Since the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster in 2011, he has focused on covering the health implications of exposure to radioactive isotopes. His research topic at the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism is entitled: ‘Reporting radioactivity and its health implications in the case of the Fukushima nuclear catastrophe’.
Hiroyuki begun his career as a journalist in 2003 with the Chemical Daily, a Japanese daily newspaper, before becoming a staff writer with Jiji Press. At Chemical Daily he regularly covered the water business industry in Asia. He joined Jiji Press in 2008.
