Hanna Käyhkö

Hanna has worked for Finnish news outlets for 22 years. She has spent the past four years at the helm of Eastern Finnish local weekly news outlet, Karjalan Heili. 

She is deeply concerned about preserving local news media in the current business climate.  

Hanna has a Master's degree in Social Sciences from the University of Eastern Finland and studied at Aalto University (Helsinki) and at the Poynter Institute (Florida). 

In her spare time, she enjoys fast-paced sports: cycling, running, and horse riding.
