Annual Report 2013-2014

2013-14 was a record year for the RISJ, with 20 publications, 80 events and speaking engagements for our Directors in 17 countries on 5 continents. We were delighted to host our inaugural Editor-in-Chief and CEO forum. 

News industry leaders from 10 countries came to Oxford for discussions on key opportunities and challenges in running a 21st century news organisation. 2013-14 saw the creation of two new Journalism Fellowships, sponsored by Le Monde and the Fritt Ord Foundation. We were also very pleased to welcome new sponsors from Spain and Finland to our Digital News Report 2014, which this year covered 10 countries. The dedicated Digital News Report website facilitates access to the data and contains essays and insights about digital news consumption.
