Should the state pay for journalism?
Polly Curtis is a Visiting Fellow at the Reuters Institute having previously been editor-in-chief of HuffPost UK, director of media at the British Red Cross, and a correspondent and senior editor at the Guardian. She is also a member of the panel advising the Cairncross Review, and a member of the board of the Society of Editors.
In this talk she considers how journalism has become unsustainable and what role the state should play in making it widely available.
