"Interacting with journalists from different cultures, different countries and with different life experiences"
Ntibinyane (Alvin) Ntibinyane, an investigative journalist from Botwana, completed the Journalist Fellowship Programme in June 2018. In this short video, he lists some of the highlights of his time in Oxford.
Ntibinyane is an experienced investigative journalist specialising in business, corruption and bribery across Southern Africa. Previous projects include: uncovering Festus Mogae’s (Botswana's President from 1998 to 2008) involvement with an Indian diamond company: exposing the dealings of an Israeli company involved in bribery and fraud allegations in four southern African countries; and nearly getting killed by security agents while investigating President Ian Khama's use of public funds to renovate a private residence. In the end, Ntibinyane used a drone to gather images to substantiate his story about the President's residence.
