Former Fellow among Young Global Leaders Class of 2014

Pallavi Aiyar, a Journalist Fellow from 2007-8 has been named among the Young Global Leaders 2014.Set up as an independent, not-for-profit foundation under the Swiss government, the Forum of Young Global Leaders is an integral part of the World Economic Forum. The Young Global leaders are chosen for their bold, action-oriented entrepreneurship and are selected using the following criteria: They have: Achieved their success young – under the age of 40. Demonstrated commitment to serving society at large. Recognized record of extraordinary achievement, substantial leadership experience and a clear indication that this will continue for the rest of their career. Impeccable public record and good standing in their community The community is made up of leaders from all walks of life, from every region of the world and every stakeholder group in society. Aiyar has worked as a correspondent for many years, reporting from Beijing, Brussels and most recently covering the whole of South East Asia from her base in Jakarta. She has recently written her third book Punjabi Parmesan, an account of contemporary Europe seen through Asian eyes.
