Alan Rusbridger is the Principal of Lady Margaret Hall, University of Oxford, and former Editor of the Guardian. His recently-published book, Breaking News: The Remaking of Journalism and Why It Matters Now, looks at the massive changes that engulfed the industry during his years editing the national newspaper such as the rise of social media and giant tech corporations, declining sales and the emergence of populist politicians.
