With a career spanning more than 30 years, Magnus has held various editorial positions in local newsrooms, business broadsheets, and technology magazine journalism, but he derives the most professional satisfaction from his current role: climate and environment editor at Denmark’s premiere national broadsheet, Politiken.  

Magnus and his team cover issues related to domestic climate and environmental politics through investigative cover stories, features, and newsletters, as well as analysis of reports from the IPCC and other major scientific bodies. He appears frequently on podcasts, radio and television. 

Magnus is also a certified external reviewer at the Danish School of Journalism, and has been a jury member for two different journalism prizes, one Danish, and one European.  

A resident of Roskilde, 19 miles from Copenhagen, Magnus enjoys exploring the outdoors and different cultures with his three adult daughters.
