José Rubén Zamora Marroquín is a Guatemalan journalist and the founder of three newspapers:  Siglo Veintiuno (1990), elPeriódico (1996), y Nuestro Diario (1998). In 2024, he received the Gabo journalism award as a recognition to his " long and brave career."
