David presented findings from the Digital News Report, with a focus on Trust, which is a subject of great interest in Korea, which had the lowest score for overall trust in the news in the 2017 Digital News Report. Nic presented on the Future of Journalism in the Digital Age, reflecting on what had changed in the two decades since the launch of the first BBC news website, and offering 5 key themes for likely future tech developments.

Other international speakers included; representatives of the New York Times, the Guardian, Storyful, Google, and Emily Bell from Columbia Journalism School and Dan Gillmor from Arizona State University. Korean speakers included representatives of the Korean platform, Naver and the chat app Kakao, together with several researchers involved in issues ranging from the development of a public interest algorithm to the use of Big Data in news organisations.
