Patrick Egwu is an award winning Nigerian freelance investigative journalist and media researcher. He has reported from Johannesburg, Berlin, Chicago and Toronto for a number of media outlets including Foreign Policy, the Globe and Mail, America Magazine, Reuters Institute, World Politics Review and elsewhere. Patrick was most recently a 2024 Bertha Challenge Fellow on Investigative Journalism where he investigated climate disinformation and power play by multinational oil companies in Nigeria. Patrick has shared his work with the investigative journalism community at the Global Investigative Journalism Conference, the Africa Investigative Journalism Conference and the Investigative Reporters and Editors conference.
