Jaffer Zaidi
Jaffer Zaidi is a member of the Reuters Institute's Advisory Board.
Jaffer has been with Google for more than 15 years. As Vice President of News Partnerships at Google, Jaffer leads a global team responsible for negotiating and managing critical partnerships across the news ecosystem as well as the Google News Initiative and news regulatory response.
Before joining Google in 2008, Jaffer served as a Principal at MarketBridge, a leading Sales & Marketing strategy consulting firm. He started his career in digital media as a Business Analyst at Small Word Media, an Internet startup acquired by Sporting News Media. Jaffer was born and raised in the Philippines where he attended the International School of Manila, after which he earned his BS in International Economics at Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service, including an exchange year at the London School of Economics. Jaffer lives in New York with his wife, son, and rambunctious family dog
