Florian is the head of the fact-checking department at APA - Austria Press Agency in Vienna where experts check viral claims and debunk misinformation. Those fact-checkers verify information, examine manipulated images and check altered videos.

Florian teaches those skills also at different universities of applied sciences such as the FH Wien der WKW, FH Hagenberg, FH Joanneum, FH Wiener Neustadt, FH St. Pölten, Tyrolean Journalism Academy and in trainings for teachers.

His project looks at what agency journalism can learn from fact-checking codes of principles in order to profit from new content strategies in the age of Artificial Intelligence.
