Dr Lea Hellmueller is Associate Professor of Journalism and Associate Dean of Research at City St George’s, University of London. She is also an affiliated researcher with the Violence & Society Centre. She has published widely on journalism in a globalising world with extensive expertise in comparative journalism research. She grew up in Switzerland and prior to joining academia worked as a journalist in Switzerland, South Africa, and the United States. She is also a previous Visiting Fellow at the Reuters Institute.
