Carla Miranda
Carla Miranda is a journalist with extensive experience in collaborative projects and product development, as well as expertise in multiplatform storytelling and editing. She has been with O Estado de S. Paulo (also known as Estadão), one of Brazil's leading media outlets, since 2000.
Specialized in enhancing young professionals' journalistic skills, Carla also mentors them throughout their careers. She oversees all trainee programs at Estadão, in partnership with prestigious institutions such as the University of Navarra (Spain) and Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV-SP, Brazil).
In addition to her career in the newsroom, Carla has a strong academic background. She holds a PhD in Communication and Semiotics, as well as an MBA in Strategic Administration and Brand Management for media organizations. In 2020, she was selected as a fellow at the Sulzberger Executive Leadership Program promoted by Columbia University, where she was awarded the Maria Moors Cabot Scholarship.
