Caroline Lees appointed Head of Communications at Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Caroline Lees as Head of Communications at the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism (RISJ).
This newly-created role is focused on leading the development of a strengthened and more comprehensive external relations and media strategy. Caroline will become part of the Institute’s senior leadership team, managing a diverse portfolio of communications initiatives aimed at further increasing the impact and awareness of the RISJ’s research and wider engagement with practitioners and policymakers.
Caroline Lees is an accomplished journalist with more than 20 years’ experience working at home and abroad for UK national newspapers, including the Sunday Times, Telegraph, Scotsman, and Sunday Express. She has also worked in South Asia, Africa and Europe, writing for the Economist, Index on Censorship and Marie Claire magazine among others. For the last three years Caroline edited and developed international projects for the European Journalism Observatory’s English website and has researched, written and spoken on a variety of media issues.
