Mónica Herrero

Mónica Herrero is a Professor of Media Management and Media Markets at the School of Communication (University of Navarra, Spain). She holds an MSc in Media Management (2000) from the University of Stirling (Scotland) and a General Management Program (PDG) from IESE Business School (2015). She also holds the honorific title of European Phd. She has been a visiting researcher at the University of Westminster (London, 2004), the University of Glasgow (2005, 2007) and the University of Lugano (2010). She has also been a visiting professor at the University of Missouri and the International Institute of Social Sciences (Sao Paolo). She has been the Dean of the School of Communication at the University of Navarra since June 2008 to June 2017 and was Vice Dean for Students Affairs from 2004 to 2008. She is also the Academic Director of the Executive Media MBA (MEGEC) at the University of Navarra School of Communication, which is taught in Madrid.

Her research focuses on television economics, pay television, audience engagement and business models in the media industry. She has participated in numerous international academic conferences, including the World Media Economics Conference and EMMA (European Media Management Academic Association), and is a member of the Board of the IMMAA (International Media Management Academic Association). She has made several contributions to journals and collective works published by leading publishers such as Routledge and Lawrence Erlbaum. She has participated in several publicly funded research projects.
