Dominic Lawson

Dominic Lawson is a journalist and editor who is well-known for his robust and iconoclastic opinions on political and social issues.The son of former Chancellor of the Exchequer Lord Lawson, Dominic was educated at Westminster School and Christ Church, Oxford. He joined the BBC as a researcher, and then wrote for the Financial Times. From 1990 until 1995, he was the editor of The Spectator magazine. Between 1995 and 2005, he was the editor of The Sunday Telegraph. He has been writing a column for The Independent since 2006. He is currently an Editorial and Opinion writer for The Independent and several other titles including the Mail on Sunday.
