Priorities/Areas For Support
The Journalism Fellowship Programme brings around 25 high-calibre mid-career journalists to Oxford each year; providing a period of reflection along with the opportunity to carry out media-based research, allowing them to tackle subjects in greater depth than is possible under deadline pressure.
Research is central to the Institute's activities and it conducts scholarly and industry-focused projects on the challenges facing news media and journalism, professional practice and public policy issues.
The Institute's activities include seminars, workshops, annual conferences, and discussion forums, both independently and in collaboration with the global world of practice and other centres within the University of Oxford.
The Reuters Institute organises Executive Education courses designed to promote and encourage innovation and leadership in the newsroom and across media organisations.
The Journalist Fellows’ Fund is largely supported by the international network of Journalism Fellowship Programme Alumni and will give a talented journalist the unique opportunity to study at Oxford.
