How do we pay for the news? It's not a question journalists, or anyone else, often ask: but at a time when there's more pressure on news budgets than ever, when new technologies are changing the face of journalism and the profession is more uncertain than it's been for decades, we thought we'd ask. The Joseph Rowntree Reform Trust is funding a special seminar in mid-May at the Reuters Institute, where we'll map out the kind of project we need to illuminate how expensive free journalism can be.
