Alexandra Frech holds a PhD in Spanish Literature from Vienna Universityas well as an MA in Journalism from Danube University Krems (Austria). She began her career as a freelance radio and television journalist at the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation ORF in Linz. Since 2003 she has been working for the Austrian press agency APA where she is now employed as a full-time foreign affairs journalist and desk editor. In 2004 Ms Frech participated in the research project "Media Markets in Central and Eastern Europe" at Danube University Krems, in which she composed the article "News Agencies - The Hidden Nerve Centre of the Media," published in 2005.
