Fellowships

Journalist Fellows

Over the past 29 years, RISJ has awarded Fellowships to more than 480 journalists from all over the world, from countries as disparate as Fiji, the UAE and Burkina Faso, including over 50 from Australasia and over 100 from Asia and the Middle East, lending the RISJ’s dynamic a uniquely international flavour.

Other than the UK, countries that have sent a significant number of Fellows to RISJ are: USA, New Zealand, India, Japan, China, Australia, South Korea, Hong Kong, Russia, South Africa, Germany and Egypt.

All the Journalist Fellows write a research paper on a subject of particular interest to them. These papers reflect the Fellows' personal perspective on a topic. Any views expressed are theirs and not necessarily those of the RISJ.
