(Rothermere American Institute in Oxford (1a South Parks Road Oxford OX1 3UB))

Rasmus Kleis Nielsen, post doctoral research fellow, RISJ and

 Nigel Bowles, Director, RAI

The book provides a close account of how American campaigns have responded to a shifting media environment, the rise of new digital and networked technologies, and a changed political scene by re-inventing “personalized political communication”—the use of people as media—and are again deploying large teams of staffers, volunteers, and paid part-timers to work the phones and canvass block by block, house by house, voter by voter.

Rasmus will give a talk about the book, followed by discussion with RAI Director Nigel Bowles and the audience and later a wine reception.

The book will be available at a discount. We hope you will be able to attend.
