Dr Henrik Örnebring
Dr Henrik Örnebring has a fil kand (BA) in Media and Communication Studies with minors in Literature and Philosophy from Karlstad University and Göteborg University, Sweden. He got his PhD from the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at Göteborg University in 2001. He has lectured at several Swedish universities (including Göteborg University, Södertörn University College and Halmstad University). He moved to the UK in 2002 to be a Visiting Scholar at the London School of Economics and Political Science, and has since worked as a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer at the University of Leicester and at Roehampton University.
Dr Örnebring’s research interests include media history (in particular the history of journalism and the history of broadcast media) and the role of media and journalism in the public sphere. He has contributed to several academic journals and edited collections on these subjects. More recently, Dr Örnebring has been pursuing research on the relationship between journalism and new media in a historical context.
